Smart Drugs

What Are Smart Drugs?

Smart drugs” are any supplements that enhance cognitive functionality. Users take smart drugs in order to improve their memory, focus, attention, and ability to learn.

Smart Drugs work in a number of different ways. Unlike racetams or anxiolytics, smart drugs don’t necessarily have a common connection. Instead, they all increase the natural function of the brain’s chemicals in different ways.

By enhancing the natural function of the brain’s chemicals, smart drugs improve the overall health of the brain. Those “brain chemicals” typically include neurotransmitters and hormones.

Smart Drugs

Neurotransmitters are responsible for neurotransmissions, or communication between brain cells. Hormones, on the other hand, can improve mood, energy, and focus. Overall, smart drugs facilitate long-term and short-term memory formation and can provide powerful cognitive benefits.

In some cases – like with Noopept – those benefits are 1000 times more potent than racetams.

How Do Smart Drugs Work?

As mentioned above, smart drugs work in many different ways. The brain is a complex organ, and different smart drugs affect different people in different ways.

That being said, smart drugs typically work using three different methods:

  • They improve the body’s natural production of certain neurotransmitters, or improve neurotransmitter reception
  • They enhance the body’s production of certain hormones, like dopamine and serotonin, which are responsible for mood, energy, focus, and a number of other mental processes
  • They stimulate the mind and body using synthetic and natural stimulants

Together, these three functions are able to unlock some powerful effects on the brain.

What’s The Difference Between Smart Drugs And Nootropics?

Some people use the terms “nootropics” and “smart drugs” interchangeably. That’s fine. The Wikipedia article for “smart drugs” simply redirects people to the Wikipedia article for Nootropic.

But in reality, the two categories aren’t equal: they refer to different types of cognitive enhancing drugs. According to one doctor, smart drugs are “generally a prescribed medication or off-label drug used primarily to treat some kind of mental or cognitive disorder.” Adderall and Ritalin are the two most common examples of smart drugs because they’re used to treat ADHD.

Many smart drugs also contain stimulants, while nootropics, by nature, do not contain stimulants. These stimulating effects can be good for the brain, but they could cause harmful side effects in people who have existing heart problems or cardiac issues.

Nootropics, in contrast to smart drugs, are not typically prescribed by doctors. They’re generally made from herbs, vitamins, and various supplements. Smart drugs tend to be a blend of natural and synthetic compounds.

What Are the Best Smart Drugs Available Today?

There are dozens of smart drugs on the market today, but only a few are really worth your time and attention. Here are the four most popular smart drugs currently available:

Modafinil

Modafinil is sold under the brand name “Alertec” and is a popular prescribed treatment for narcolepsy and insomnia. Modafinil is exceptionally powerful and provides a 12 to 15 hour “buzz” during which it’s difficult to fall asleep. It’s popular among shift workers, college students, and anyone who needs long periods of intense focus.

You can legally buy modafinil online without a prescription. However, it’s often difficult to find in the United States and the drug is highly regulated. If you’re interested in modafinil, your best option is to try to get a prescription from your doctor and order it from a legal pharmacy.

Noopept

Noopept’s major selling feature is the fact that it’s “1000 times stronger” than popular alternatives like Piracetam. Much of that added strength is related to the bioavailability of Noopept. Specifically, Noopept has a much higher bioavailability than almost any of its competitors, which means it can easily be absorbed by the bloodstream and cross the blood-brain barrier.

As far as benefits go, Noopept enhances memory and strengthens communication between neurons – particularly in the corpus callosum, which connects the left and right hemispheres of your brain.

During clinical studies, Noopept has been shown to improve cognitive functioning while also acting as a powerful antioxidant, targeting free radicals in the brain and improving overall neural health.

Noopept is commonly prescribed by doctors in Russia. The smart drug was actually developed in Russia during the 1970s and remains popular there today. In other parts of the world, you can legally order Noopept online without a prescription.

Adrafinil

Adrafinil is a popular alternative to modafinil. It’s typically more powerful than modafinil – largely because of its stimulating and hormone-boosting properties. When your body absorbs adrafinil, it converts the compound into modafinil, which is why they have such similar benefits.

Adrafinil promotes wakefulness using a mild stimulant. It also improves your overall mood by boosting dopamine and serotonin levels in your brain. Instead of artificially pumping your body full of weird hormones, however, adrafinil simply inhibits dopamine and serotonin breakdown – which is the same way that anti-depression medications work.

Adrafinil is popular because it’s powerful and provides a wide range of benefits. Some people take it because they’re depressed. Others because they lack focus or cognitive ability. Many people take it because they want to improve their mood while also enhancing their focus and intellect. I mean, who doesn’t want those benefits?

Sunifiram

Sunifiram is one of the newest smart drugs on the market today. It hasn’t been studied as extensively as the other smart drugs on this list, but early research shows promising results.

Sunifiram, for example, can vastly improve memory functionality and reduce cognitive decline. It does this by improving acetylcholine levels in the brain, boosting memory, focus, and learning. It’s becoming a popular study drug, although it can also be found at competitive workplaces around the world.

Since Sunifiram is very potent, you typically need a smaller dose than you would take with other smart drugs listed here. It’s also more difficult to find online and in-store.

Modafinil Versus Adrafinil

When researching smart drugs, many people end up comparing modafinil and adrafinil head to head. The two compounds provide similar powerful benefits and work in virtually the same way.

However, they’re still different from each other. Here are some of the key differences between modafinil and adrafinil:

  • Adrafinil is legal in the United States, but it is unregulated, which means you’ll need to buy it online
  • Modafinil is heavily regulated throughout the United States and is not available over the counter. You’ll need a prescription to get it, and doctors typically only prescribe it to treat narcolepsy.
  • Modafinil is typically gentler on the liver and has a higher bioavailability, which means it goes to work more quickly after consumption.
  • Adrafinil doesn’t go to work as quickly because your body first has to absorb adrafinil before turning it into modafinil.
  • Both adrafinil and modafinil can have powerful side effects due to their strength and potency, which is why many people cycle the smart drug or only use them on occasion.

Ultimately, the difference between modafinil and adrafinil often boils down to legality and convenience: it’s easier to purchase adrafinil than modafinil. And since the two provide such similar benefits, there’s no real disadvantage to making the switch.

If you’re having trouble deciding between the two, talk to your doctor. Or, consider switching to Phenylpiracetam or Pramiracetam, both of which offer similar benefits with fewer side effects.

Buying Smart Drugs Online

Buying smart drugs online is easier today than ever before. Today, there are dozens of high-quality online stores that offer convenient, discrete shipping that goes directly to your door. There’s no hassle. But more importantly, you get to save a lot of money.

Online retailers don’t need to pay for the high overhead costs of physical retail space because they operate solely online. They pass these savings onto you, helping you save bundles of money when buying smart drugs.
